I can think of few other creatures who have been so maligned and reviled by man than bats. Yet, man could not live without these gentle, intelligent mammals. They are super pollinators and they also protect us from disease and the destruction of our crops by eating harmful insects. Studying bats has contributed invaluably to medical and scientific advances. Instead of fearing these most abundant species of mammal (who are closely related to the order of primates and lemurs), set aside your superstitions and look at these graceful, beautiful beings as helpers critical to balanced ecosystems.
These blank note cards are printed from a series of watercolor and pen & ink paintings I did of some of Bat World Sanctuary's ambassadors: Beene, Lil Drac, Poppy, and Peekaboo. These cards will make a wonderful gift to give or keep for yourself! There are eight (8) cards in total--two of each painting--along with eight (8) envelopes. The cards measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". Each card is printed on white, premium, print-quality card stock. I have hand signed each card and noted on the back the name of the series.
The cards will come to you in a gift box tied with a fabric ribbon.
You can see my other notecards here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/HappyHummerArt?section_id=14675739&ref=shopsection_leftnav_6
You can find Peekaboo's original watercolor here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/231360757/original-egyptian-fruit-bat-and-trumpet?ref=shop_home_active_4
I will be listing the original watercolors of "Beene and Magnolias," "Lil' Drac and Wisteria," and "Poppy and the Poppies" soon.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
No. My gourd art is intended for inside use only. The art will not hold up to weather and is not created to do so.
No. Unless I specifically state that the piece has been waterproofed, my gourd art should not be exposed to liquids including water. However, non-leaking containers for water--such as slender glass vases, etc.,--can be placed into the bowl or vase if you wish to use the piece for holding fresh flower bouquets. Just be careful to make sure there is no spillage.
No. Gourds are natural elements that will have bumps, dings, and blemishes. These are simply a part of the gourd itself.
I am a one person operation. I cannot and do not want to mass produce. I prefer NOT to become involved in wholesale.
Almost all of my art comes gift boxed and tied with a fabric ribbon. If you want the order gift wrapped, please convo me to discuss. I can also include a customized gift enclosure card. Please make sure to let me know in the "message" portion of your order if you wish to send as a gift and provide the name and address of the recipient. I try to include a copy of your receipt with each order. If the item is a gift, I will withhold the receipt unless you direct me otherwise.
I send a set of "care instructions" with all of my gourd art. Gourd art should be cared for in the same manner you would care for fine wood. Simply dust gently with a dry cloth. Keep the piece out of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to ensure the colors do not fade. Keep the piece out of water.
